I am so pleased to invite you into my inbox!

Every day, my inbox is filled with a wide variety of questions, information, and updates about lactation and lactation-related events, and this brand-new podcast is my way of sharing that with you.

I know that if one person asks a question, many others have the same question - so now I am answering them out loud.

My favorite part of every speaking engagement I do is the Q&A session at the end - the thrill of anticipating what kinds of questions the audience will ask is so incredible for me!

I love it when people make me stop and think or when they make me figure out where to find the answers.

I want to share my ideas on how to find trustworthy information, think critically, and take a 30,000-foot view of the universe of lactation care.

Every episode will be different, and there will always be a transcript for those times you’d prefer to read.

The best way to support this podcast is to Subscribe to it and Share it with everyone you know who would be interested.

Why have I created The Lactation Consultant's Inbox Podcast? - I regularly answer questions about many aspects of lactation work, and I know that if one person has a question, others likely have the same one!

Why is it important to answer these questions? - People who are working in lactation support or advocating for breastfeeding often benefit from hearing more context around the information they already know

Why is it essential to have a deeper context? - We (collectively) can do a better job of promoting, supporting, and protecting breastfeeding when we understand our audience and their needs and communicate with them more clearly

Why do we need to communicate more clearly about breastfeeding? - because the world has lost track of its importance, and the nuance of promoting it becomes lost in the noise of the online world and commercial marketing messages

Why focus on communicating about breastfeeding? - because communication is education. It is telling the story that helps someone understand something they didn't know or couldn't hear before. It is how we transform people.
