This kind of wide-ranging conversation happens between us because we are legitimately just getting on and pressing Record. It’s real, it’s honest, and we don’t even edit this stuff.
What you’re hearing is a discussion between 2 American IBCLCs, situated on each coast in vastly different locales, looking out at the wider world of American Lactation through our real-life interactions and our screens and AirPods.
We’re watching the American Lactation Universe unfold on LinkedIn and Substack, two places where healthy, multidisciplinary discussions are going on AND important professional connections are being made.
We are not, however, watching it unfold in the “Metaverse",” aka Instagram and Facebook. We’re not hanging out there and don’t really have any more time to try to be there as well as the rest of what we have going on in our lives.
That’s where you come in: tell us what you’re seeing if that’s where you hang out. Share what you are watching unfold in St Louis and Orlando and Chicago and Corpus Christi. Show us your rural, your metropolitan, your small-town America and your Boston. Let us know what’s going on in Lactation Land where you are - and don’t forget about FacebookLand and IGLand, too.
